Friday, 06/28/2013, 7 pm

The all-female folk band W.i.t.Ch. (the abbreviation stands for 'Whiskey in the Charts' and alludes to the Irish popular tune 'Whiskey in the Jar') was founded in Vienna in 1997. The basic setup comprising violin, guitar, e-bass and percussion, complemented by more instruments such as bagpipes, accordion and contra bass, the band offers an amazing sound spectrum. However, it is the joy of polyphonic singing which is at the center of the ensemble's music and which is its greatest strength.

The audience can look forward to an evening with songs from 'Ausgeliefert' to 'Zwickt's mi', all newly arranged and interpreted by the three voices of meidling3!
